Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Chloe Bean! According to our papers from the pet store, Chloe was born February 23rd! She has just been a fun little dog to have in our family. I am so glad Kerry had such an impulse buy! What did we do before she came along? Oh, I know, we got to sleep in on mornings, got to eat all of the leftovers and didn't have to think about being gone all day! She has truly put this family on a schedule without even trying! But, this is my first time having a pet and I love her so much! So, I hope we have her around for a lot more birthdays!!

Where is spring?

Well, it has been over a two months since posting anything and I am trying my best to get on a routine of posting things to facebook and my blog on Thursday mornings. Hopefully, I can commit! But the computer is in the basement and it is freezing down here!!!!!!! I am so ready for spring. I love winter, but, snow every weekend is just getting on my nerves. School has been canceled and on delays, I have to use up my vacation time for that (thanks a lot!) But, I've gotten to try a lot of my soup recipes that I had squirreled away. Soup is so good! Add some crusty bread and it is just the perfect meal I think! This week I have Chicken Tortilla lined up. Never had it, but it sounds awesome on paper.

Some things that have been going on around here is just the usual stuff. Zachary is trucking on at school and just celebrated 100 days and Valentine's. He made a really silly hat with 100 squares on it. We also had a good time making his box monster to hold his goodies. I think it turned out pretty well! Although, I did most of the work, it is durable and I see using this box in years to come which will be handy!! He has been learning sight words and is so close to reading on his own. He is super excited and wants to read with Mommy! I love it! I can't wait to sit on the couch and read, read, read!!!! Maybe I can catch up on some good books that have been missed.

Sweater weather

We got Chloe a sweater for Christmas! But, since it got super cold weeks before, we had to go ahead and let her wear it. We've searched and searched for a coat and have had no luck. I might have to break out the sewing machine and take care of matters myself. She doesn't mind wearing her cute sweater though. And it just adds to her cuteness, doesn't it? This is how we look every mornng now. Warm and toasty!

The entire Kindergarten class on stage
Zachary dressed for his Christmas program at school. We went to his first dentist appointment several hours before, then came home to eat dinner, and go, go, go! He fell asleep in the car and boy was he cranky. I mean, he was downright hateful. Did not want me to take his pic at school, or on the risers, or during the program. He just wanted to go back home! He barely sang any of the songs, but he knew all of the hand motions. He smiled at the vey end. What a mess! BUT...he is handsome!

Only two more weeks...being a real scrooge

I can't believe that christmas is only two weeks away...this year has just disappeared. I am ready for it to be over. Which is awful, but, this year I am just a big scrooge. It's terrible. I haven't sent any cards, or made cookies, or wrote Santa a letter. Just terrible. I'm not sure why. Been trying to come up with a reason, but, just can't get there. We did take some pics of us all together for maybe a christmas card. I think they look really cute. Kerry was really mad but faked it, not a fan of hats and scarves. Now that is being a scrooge :) Zachary has his big music show tomorrow night. Just Kindergarten which should be comical. I asked him what he was going to sing, and he got real sarcastic and said, "well, Mommy, you know jingle bells and ho ho ho?" well, duh, ya think? Good grief hopefully we can get our act together and be more jolly. We've got two more weeks!
