Getting older...

Well, since my last post, things have been hectic in the parent department. Kerry's mom went to the ER on Valentine's Day with pnuemonia and ended up staying there for the week. My dad has had the flu for two weeks and today went into the hospital with chest pains. I am just not ready to be a part of the Sandwich generation. Taking care of kids and parents together is not something I'm look forward to. But, it is something that has been a tough reality these past couple of weeks. Kerry is the only reliable child in his family and his dad called him first and then Kerry called the ambulance for his mom. It really took him a while to get over that. His parents are a good ten years older than mine and have a lot of health issues. So, we are already thinking of ways to be of more help right now. I just hope that we can find the time to be there for everyone and still pay enough attention to Zachary. He has so much going on too :)
