Back to school...
I thought I was finished with school, but, as I read everyone's blogs, I am finding out I am the only one not in school. I have been asked to get my Library degree about a thousand times, and I've always said no thanks. Am I a total loss for not trying to teach? I still think I would be good at it, but, not sure if I want to exert all the energy required. So, last week I decided to go to Grad school online and get my MLS (Master's of Library Science). I think that as the economy gets worse, the job I am in will be pretty secure. I have been there for 14 years too. So, I filled out the application and will know by April 1 if I am accepted. I've already looked through the catalog and have circled the classes that I want to take, but, I am worried about how I am going to find the time to do this. I really should have did it 10 years ago, when it was just little ol' me. There is really only one concern-can my family leave me alone long enough to be on the computer attending class and doing homework? I am going to say, that they are going to have a hard time with it. But, it will be fun to go school supply shopping for Zachary and me. He will go to Kindergarten in the fall too. And I love school supplies! I might just have to buy a lunch box just because! Do you remember that part in "You've Got Mail" where Tom Hanks says he would send a bouquet of sharpened pencils if he could? Exactly!!
